Simulating tennis
I've a test tomorrow on Simulation, and I've studied, don't worry. What's more, we have to whole day to use to catch up on projects tomorrow! I'm gonna play tennis! Seriously, I've been watching so much more tennis than playing it. That's because I wanna PLAY it! I find it hard to put in a proper playing/training schedule, because it's the third year already, and frankly there's a lot of changing going on. Like changing of timings, and events. Its all so hectic, and you wouldn't know it unless you were me. So how do I follow this passion? Sigh. I envy one of my friends. He's smart, got good grades, good at soccer, won some competitions, and has got a girl!(recently) I'm dumb, bad at studies, horrible at tennis, champion of ZERO competitions, and got no girl!(recently) Maybe I should just simulate my tennis passion on ShowFlow(program used in Simulation class, really cool actually) and see whether I win a Grand Slam or not. Watch out Wimbledon. Or why not my whole life instead?

Broken strings and funny rings
I just broke my tennis racket string today. Every time my tennis racket made a weird 'twang' sound before, the strings never broke. I always took a look at it though. And this time, it couldn't take anymore. "Spock-twang" was the sound. Nuts. Rafie says its retribution for not helping out the class in the poly50 race. I don't believe in retribution, but I do believe in recession(my mini recession, that is). I also downloaded some funny ringtones over the course of the week and shared them with Kunwei and Benedict. Really funny stuff. If you want to find some too, you can go here - www.zedge.net

Soccer-roo, soccer-boos
I wanna talk about soccer. Before I was a tennis freak, I was a soccer freak. I scored some spectacular goals over the course of my life so far and I always found reasons why its one of the most loved sports in the world. 1. Simplicity It doesn't require much to play. All you need is a ball and 2 walls that face each other and are adequately spaced apart. It really is a simple game. Get the ball into the opponent's goal without using your hands. 2. The greatest feeling of a goal Its the greatest feeling in the world once you score a goal. Cristiano Ronaldo should best attest to that. 3. Teamwork Its a team game. Like any other team game, everyone has an important role to play. I'm not going to go ranting on about how important teamwork is because I'm sure you heard about it in motivational posters, emails, books and blah. 4. Essence of the sport Its always joy to see people (anyone, not just Cristiano Ronaldo) handle/dribble the ball well. Control, skill, deft touch. Its really evident in soccer. Now there're my reasons for why I just love soccer. And there are also reasons why I am just disappointed with the stage that soccer is at now. 1. Unfair play Soccer is a sport. Sport was meant for competition in goodwill and honorable sportsmanship. But now we have role models all around the world faking injury when tackled or physically provoked. It is so absurd! The will to win must always be governed by fairness. 2. Idiotic fandom (this is the worst point) The fans are idiots. No, I'm not against any team. I'm for Liverpool now, but I not against Everton and I don't hate their guts. I can't even begin to describe the sheer hate some fans have for some rival club of theirs. What does it stem from? I mean, this is sport! I've heard fans go, "Shit those bastards scored against us again. Referee Kayu! Bloody (insert rival club name here)!" What is this? This isn't sport. Even heard of, "YES we scored! Those lousy mofos' don't stand a chance against us! WE OWN THEM, NOOBS." Sound like someone you know? Thats because there are so many of these kind of fans out there. No matter what side you are on, you cannot put down your opponent with insults because if you do, your team is better/worse than that. I love soccer. But so many people have made this sport unbearable to comfortably talk about without aggravating point about your own team. Just think about it. Has anyone ever been complimented in soccer/professional soccer for being SPORTSMAN-LIKE?

Projects for spartans
I realized just recently that I have a twitter account. One which I created eons ago. I don't remember creating it at all! Anyway, I think that the idea of twitter (now that I've really seen it) is kind of weird. Why? Because you can update it anytime with your handphone.Think about it. Lets say you pass your driving test and you want someone to know. I think some people I know who use twitter would just send "I passed the driving test! Yes!" to their twitter page! Isn't it more logical to just call that precious one of yours to tell him/her immediately? Haha. I think I'm back. I feel better these days. Not so much brooding, but still a lot of thinking. I've been watching House recently and its really given me food for thought. Its not just another medical drama like Grey's Anatomy (okay it's good but I think House ranks higher). You guys should watch House! My MSTs (Mid-Semester Tests) are happening in 2 weeks and its a mad rush. We have 5 projects to hand up when school re-opens! Its madness! "Madness? THIS IS SPARTA!" Sorry, spartan moment.

Work work
YES. I finally passed my Basic Theory driving test after, 1 try. I was kinda nervous because I had a small doubt about 2 of the questions. Dumb answers, so close in their meanings. Next stop: Advanced Theory Test! Oh yeah, and I had a Simulation test today. 3 of us got different answers from the whole class. LOL. Hope we're right! I recently went for the SPTC FOC, and, sad to say, it was kind of dull. The groups were all bored and some were totally uninterested in the camp. The group cohesion was good though. I feel that what the camp lacked was cheers and songs. Every NPCC camp I went to was filled with weird cheers, songs, skits. Totally enjoyable. There were some fun parts in the camp but, still it wasn't the best. I gotta hurry and take more pictures. There's alot more work to be done for Digital Imaging. Hmmm.

Shoot and get sick later
This update is what you requested, Benedict. Heh. Its been a hectic week because I was sick. And I still am ten percent sick. It feels very annoying to be sick like this because I can't study like I usually can, or play tennis right. Thank God I'm on the road to recovery. I've been snapping photos of everything around me because of my GEM Digital Imaging. Currently, I can't hold a candle against Darryl's better skills at using the digital camera. Here's some of my better shots:
